Throttle body conundrum
Besides measuring the bores, is there any way to identify what size tb is on my dak? '93 v6. The reason why I ask is because I was looking at tb's on hughes engines, and none of the linkages on the v6's looked like mine. But instead mine has what I have gathered to be a v8 style linkage. And if I do have to measure, do I measure at the very top, middle (step down?), or the base?
Thanks, Chris.

First of all the pictures are probably not accurate and only a file photo.
The best way is to know what throttle body you have is by part number on the throttle body. Next if it looks to be modified a simple caliper should work to measure it at the butterfly valve (in the middle). If I remember correctly V6's came stock with 44mm V8's 48mm.
If your looking just to gain some more flow the best option for V6's is to install a V8 throttle body.
The best place for Quality throttle bodies is https://www.thefastman.com/index.php
The cheapest modified throttle bodies can be off of www.ebay.com
For my 5.9 V8 I got the 53mm.

I was thinking about snagging a v8 tb, and cutting off the air silencers, hogging out the step down, and polishing the bores. And a for the linkage it was on their linkage identifying page so they send you the right style linkage... And I have heard if people just swapping the tb from a 8 to a 6 without the cable swap also. Everybody seemed to think he was crazy, but he showed pictures and crazy enough he was right. Hmmm...
