I was told to put the engine in drive and hold the brake, THEN turn in the plunger to the designated RPM; never in park, neutral or with the engine off. Seems to have worked too!

I adjusted my idle via IAC plunger and it wants to choke out when coming to a stop now, so I'm thinking even without unplugging the IAC I should still turn in that screw a bit...right?
