The key and a/c are the only difference between ours then and I suspect my A/C may have been installed later on.

Never heard of anyone else without a tach wow, I'm installing a GenII cluster soon anyway with my 318 Magnum so I will have a much needed tach. Maybe the base model in 88' only came with a tach if it was a 5-speed/manual?

I've been confirmed no Chrysler has ever came out of the factory with separate door and ignition keys, if yours are separate either your door locks or ignition were replaced.

After a closer inspection check out my ignition...

When the key is put in:

When the key is removed:

I can even go 50/50:

Regarding my ignition that was replaced in the past, most people have an accessory position on their vehicles and it turns in the opposite direction as starting. My truck does not; only turns in one direction, and has 3 positions. First unlocks the steering lock, second does absolutely nothing, third is my running position. Do you think I have a dead accessory position (second)?

No Tach?? Man that is a little odd...and here I thought my speedometer going up by 15,25,35,etc was unique lol. Far as keys go I got the same for door and ignition, and my dad's old 01' Ram keys fit my 93' Dak! One in a million chances on that one huh? My Dak keys would fit his doors but fight the ignition unless you gave it a little love lol

Here is the front of a 95' cluster as you can see there are minor differences; the max RPM is now yellow, even 10 MPH increments instead of 5's but tops out at 110 now instead of 125, added fuel door light (or moved?).Name: IMG_9628.jpg

Here is another revision:

Ahhh that last one is what I got. There a way to refresh the needles on these? mine used to be nice and red but as the years crept by now they are yellowish orange and transparent :/

Just swap out the entire cluster, don't forget to set your mileage. I plan on getting a new one with a tach and opening it up for painting.

A dealer would rape you for an entire cluster, go to a junkyard.
