Clutch position switch

Default Clutch position switch

Does anyone know how to bypass the clutch position switch on a '95 dakota 5 speed...no cruise control

It should just be a on/off switch. If it is all you would need to do is unplug the switch and run a jumper wire across the 2 pins in the plug.

Why do you want to bypass it? Is it because it has failed and you don't want to replace it?

i looked at mine one time and it appeared that switch was built into the clutch master cylinder and not replaceable, i could be wrong though but thats what it looked like. then again i didnt really look close, i just glanced at it. but ya theres just some wires with a plug under the dash right by the clutch master cylinder. might be able to jumper it but dont forget or you might run into something if it starts in gear hahahahha lol
