Default drilling into the trans tunnel

Anyone have a rough idea of how far you can or what I need to be careful of beneath it?

If there's space between the trans and the tunnel I'm thinking about picking up a large ammo can later today to mount there for storage/center console. I want to drill some small pilot holes but I figured I'd see if I could find out on here before taking it into work and putting it on a lift to look myself.

Just the transmission and wires. Always look before you ask on the forum. :P

I was depending on who I got my info from

I figured that was it, but any idea roughly how much space there is between the tunnel and trans? Looking at using 1" self tapping screws, about 3/4" an inch should be going into the tunnel after the ammo can, washer, and floor metal.

If nothing else I can weld a piece of steel to the top of the trans tunnel to mount to instead.
