Default Will 2nd gen dak seats fit in my 1st gen dak?

I GOT A REAL GOOD DEAL ON A SET OF BUCKET SEATS FROM A '97 DAKOTA EXT CAB THAT I'D REALLY LOVE TO PUT IN MY '95 EXT CAB. FIRST QUESTION IS, WILL THEY FIT? SECOND QUESTION IS, HOW HARD IS IT GOING TO BE TO DO IT IF IT IS POSSIBLE? I'VE ALREADY TAKEN THE ORIGINAL PASSENGER SEAT OUT OF MY '95 AND IT'S OBVIOUS THE HOLES WON'T MATCH UP AND HAVE DIFFERENT DISTANCES BETWEEN THEM....

ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED

They will with modifications. Just make some brackets to mount them up.

I will move this to the 1st Generation Dakota sub-forum.

There is a few people on this forum who've thrown 2nd gen seats in their 1st gens if I remember right.
There is a link in the Faq2 near the bottom that sends you to an image gallery of someone who did it.

PS: Capslock=Cruise Control for Cool :P

Yes Vague because I don't know what EXACTLY is needed to make it work. You asked if it will fit, the answer is yes, you already said you know it won't be a direct bolt in. Anything will fit. What do you want us to bolt it on for you?

were there is a will there is a way gotta let your imagination run a little you could also go to a junk yard and get the 2nd gen mounting brackets that should make for a little easyer fabrication

Was looking for something a little more detailed thanks boy wonder. Would love to see you teach a kid how to tie his shoes... Just put em on and tie em son. I know how to do it so i should just make it sound easy without telling you how and then you'll know. I'm glad that "anything" will fit. I'm going to use my couch in their now that i have this information.

To those that wanted to help and did, thanks. I can see this site is more about who's right and less informatory...

Caps=my online signature, dare 2 be different!!

Hey now no need to get fresh with people.

Putting in different seats is from what I understand a wing it project. Theres no set in stone way so by saying "With modifications" it means that you're gonna have to figure it out yourself but it should be relatively simple.

Basically depending on which seat you go with will define how you gotta fab your brackets up to make it fit. There isn't a written "This is how you gotta do it" Faq that I know of. Everyone who does it does it how they think it should be done.

PS: I would love to see a couch in your Dakota.
