Default Help! randomly dies out.

I need some help. after driving around for a while, my truck will just cut out and die. when it does, it will not restart until it sits awhile. I'm at a loss as to what it could be... I have new plugs and wires, cap and rotor, and battery and alternator. the computer was also changed. (had overcharging issue.) I'm wondering if the crank sensor is going bad? please help, I love this truck but I've about had it with this issue.

When it doesn't start does it have correct fuel pressure or adequate spark to all plugs? Are all injectors spraying correctly?

at least, it wont fire on starting fluid. the pump is working, but I'm unsure if fuel is going into the cylinders. I was told its likely a crank sensor or asd issue.

This is just a guess, but what about the ignition coil? I wouldn't think it would work intermittently, just when it goes bad, it's done. A few years back I was replacing my radiator, and while it was just idling during testing for leaks, it suddenly died. I could not get it to start again. Just crank and crank. Ended up being the coil. (Oh and I checked the resistance as per the manuals. It passed the readings, but the coil was still the culprit! I assume it's just hard to get a good read when testing the small units of resistance needed, and I had a cheap voltmeter too.)

apparently the coil is arcing internally,so that's part of the issue. its still overcharging though, almost like there's a bad ground...

I had this going on with my 92 it would be running great then nothing it turned out to be the computer. I figured it out when I left the key in the on position then kind of leaned on the wiring harness connector by pure accident. I heard the pump kick on and the click sound your regulator makes when fuel is sent. Checked the bolt connecting it then my harness for breakage and corrosion then replaced the computer. Next time it happens leave the key in the on position just gently try to move your harness connector up and down see if you hear the fuel. If it is the computer at least its only $120 at Advance Auto.
