Default 1991 dakota sale

I've been debating about selling my dakota. I dont want to but it needs trans work and I'm not doing it, nor do I have the money for a replacement. Not sure how much to ask for it. 1991 dakota sport ext cab auto 4x4 p/w, p/l, rear sliding window, tow pkg, Pioneer head unit and speakers, 30" bfgoodrich allterains 75% tread just mounted and balanced. New water pump, trans lines, fan clutch, thermostat, hoses, brand new battery, recently rebuilt alternator. Interior is in amazing shape for its age.

Issues- Passanger door is hard to shut the handle doesnt lock itself, nor will it lock at all. Trans stuck in 3rd gear, even in park it jumps forward a little, no reverse, neutral, OD,1st , or 2nd. Im thinking forward clutch is the issue.
Odometer and trip dont work, speedo does but it shakes under about 35 mph.
Odometer is stuck at 20k but looking at vehicle history report im guessing it has around 100k on it. There is a sticker on the side of the door saying odometer was replaced but mileage is faded away. It started shifting into 4 HI way to easy, 4LO got almost impossible to engage probly because of no neutral? Column shifter got bumped to the left almost a full letter over. Im having alternator codes of overcharging and not switching fields properly, would that cause trans issues like this? I've heard its most likely not in limp mode though because of the no reverse and neutral?

I'm wondering if i should part it out or how much I should ask for it? I live in NJ if anyone is interested in it.
Any help on anything is appreciated, thanks.

Would it be hard to drop the trans and replace the clutch pack? Ive dropped a trans before in cars but never installed nor did any work on them. I'm not a mechanic but would it be hard getting a chilton and doing the trans myself? Thanks!

If you have never rebuilt a transmission then i would not advise it unless your just looking to get the experience. Im a mechanic and have been for along time and me personally i wouldn't attempt it. When you put it all back together your supposed to test the line pressure and some other stuff and if its not within spec you have to tear it back down and find the problem. The guys that rebuild them make it look and sound easy but from what ive learned it is a skill that has to be taught by a professional.
