Default Help, fan and heat stopped blowing

95 Dakota slt

Going down the road with AC high and the blue button on, the fan kept going in and out about 3 or 4 times and then it completely stopped blowing!

I can feel the heat when its on but it doesn't blow.

Fan clutch ? Or fan? How go I go around fixing it?

From the FAQ:

My heater blower doesn't work on all the settings- Chances are that the blower resistor block is faulty. The resistor block is located on the passenger side firewall. It's very easy to change out.

The resistor block is the most likely culprit. It's about as easy as a repair as you can get. $6-8 part, unclip one wire socket, undo 2 screws, redo 2 screws, reclip socket, done!

Which fan went out? The engine fan? Or the blower motor for the heater and AC? If it is the blower motor it doesn't have a fan clutch, that is what is where I'm unsure which fan your talking about.

If it is just the blower motor it most likely is the resister pack that is bad. The FAQ has the write up.

The AC/heat fan. Thanks for the replies, here you go!

The wire isn't even connecting to the metal because it burnt right off or something.
