Default OK, am i doin somthing wrong

I thought that thefan on the water pump should be able to spin loosely. I have put the belt on and the fan will move but will not make a full turn and seems like it is dragging. Is it suppose to be like that or am i doin somthin wrong

If it does have the fan clutch on it then sounds like the clutch needs replaced. With a fan clutch you should be able to rotate the fan 360° but it will have some resistance. If the fan does not have a clutch on the front face then it will not turn 360° cause you are actually turning the crank also with the belt still on and the motor is building compression in the cylinder causing you to not be able to turn the fan.

Loosen the belt and then try the fan.

Well in the original post you said it wouldn't rotate a full turn. If you can spin the fan a full 360° and it has some resistance then you should be fine. If the fan won't spin 360° and gets really hard to turn then you may have a bad clutch. Im not exactly sure what the question is about the fan since the last post.
