v6 nitrous
Usually a 50 or even 100 shot is safe on a good motor that isn't on its last legs. Use a wet kit, its safer, it richens the mix appropriately for the nitrous. Never done it and not a big fan of nitrous, but I'd use a plate kit. Bolts in under the throttle body.
Even on a good motor I wouldn't spray it with higher that a 75 shot and even then if you spray it every day the motor isnt going to last long. If you want to spray a motor its best to build a forged motor. Also dont forget when you spray you have to change the oil very often. Guys at the track that spray usually change there oil around every 3rd pass.
The standard answer would be to raise the torque of your stock engine NO MORE THAN 50% on a healthy engine. With that said, I, being a user of nitrous for several years, would put no more than a "50" shot on a 3.9l. Wet kit is technically better and safer from over heating the combustion chamber. You will not really feel a 50 shot, as they are more for show, and a marginal edge over stock, given the mass that you are pushing. On a ricer, it is felt more due to the lower weight. I do not know what mods you have already completed, but a power adder is really one of the last modifications you would do to a drivetrain. If you can score a kit on the cheap, then by all means play, but it can get expensive quick, with purging, and horseplay (no pun intended).
