transmission

Default transmission

my trans went out in my 93 318 and i found a used trans out of a 94 ram 1500.
my question is this.
would it fit my truck?

You didn't say what the Ram's engine is, if it is a V8 yes it will work. You also didn't say if yours or the Ram is 2wd 4wd, as long as it is the same it will work.

its the same engine and there both 2wd.
im just worried about the wiring

If memory serves correctly, you are replacing a 46rh, with a 46rh. The rh transmission has two- three prong wiring points, whereas the 46re has the 8 way plug just behind the selector on the driver's side. The only thing that may be different is the speedo gear inside the cable attachment.

the swap went well..but now my truck won't start in park..its gotta be in neutral..any ideas what it could be?

The park neutral safety switch or the transmission rod needs adjustment.
