I have a 1987 dakota. While driving it runs fine, but thirty seconds after I take my foot of the gas pedal the truck shuts off. I had just installed a new fuel pump. I am not sure what the issue is with the truck. But it starts right up after each time it shuts off. Anybody got any ideas?

Sounds like it is just a problem with idle. So I would suspect the Idle Air Control (IAC) vavle/motor.
