The ax-15 is in the jeep with the 4.0 but from what I found I can mount the 4.0 up to my ax-5 tranny

Ok I just found out that the ax-5 is a weaker tranny used in the jeep but was dropped in favor for the ax-15 due to it being a stronger tranny

jeep motors from what i know will not work in a dodge because of the starter location on the passenger side, as opposed to dodge motors being driver side mounted.

if the starter is already on that side i cant say for sure if it will or not. the 4L might be too long to fit in the engine bay, but like i said not for certain. Post pics of the swap they could prove useful to someone else. above all, measure 3 times, do the work once!
