v6 Magnum trans on a Non-Magnum Engine?

v6 Magnum trans on a Non-Magnum Engine?
Is this possible? The front band in my trans broke im just going to replace it, would i need to swap a few parts over to get it to fit? or is it just not possible? The Magnum trans is a 93. the non-mag is a 89.
