Default recently added another dodge to my history of trucks

**PICTURES NOW POSTED**

I picked up a 94 Dakota V8 auto 2wd Mark III edition in a package deal with a 92 chevy cavelier all for 300, both run and drive cept the cavelier has a broken brake line

The Dodge before it was parked 2-3 years ago had a complete brake overhaul, 228k on the Dodge and orginally tranny, lady has owned it since near new, it still feels solid and shifts solid except the last shift into OD takes a long time but she had it in and they told her mostly likely a shift module, instead of fixxing she decided it was time for a new truck and after sitting 2-3 years put it up for sale. Its a dodge no doubt, typically rust and hood/roof fading/peeling, V8 still runs like a raped ape though, I assume 5.2? I have not found yet for sure that it is, the hood says 5.2 but she said it is no longer original to the truck.

I'll post some pics later tonight hopefully, I was wondering about what you guys knew about the Mark III industries, it looks to me like they take the truck from dodge and trick it out and send it back to dodge for sale, as there is a seperate stick in the door that says a product of Mark III Industries. It sure is fancy to say the least, full wood grain dask cover and door panels woodcrain full length overhead console complete with LED's, power sliding rear window, which works but doesn't i can here the motor hum and the window try to move but it seems wedged, leather seats front and rear.

I woudl really like to put this truck back in its prime but fearing the cost, mainly the rust, if it was rust free I wouldnt fear tackling the paint, I have had some practice there and know some people that can get me the equipment some help/advice

We have several links for info on the Mark III Dakotas in the FAQ's. They are good looking for street trucks. Good deal.

thanks i'll head over there and take a look then

also a couple other questions, the fuel gauge appears to not work, any problem places on these to start? She said her daughter had it one day and heard a loud pop in the steering column and the airbag light came on and the fuel gauge quit working, the airbag light was noticed right away and shortly after the fuel gauge, all other gauges seem work as it runs up oil pressure, water temp, and charge voltage after driving some

its definatley going to have some wiring gremlins. Driving it some tonight, brake lights are zero, radio intermintely comes on, and when it is on it intermitently has sound form the speakers, when it does it is clear, probably has to do the full infinity sound system, power mirrors and windows work excelent door locks do not, and drivers side is broke anyway along with the outside door handle

Going to pull it into the shop tomorrow if I have time and give the interior a complete cleaning/shampoo and try to get rid of that musty stinking sitting vehicle smell and see where to go from there, I got picture but having trouble upload, ill mess with ti more tomorrow

EDIT: maybe its late but im having trouble finding the faqs and for some reason this sight wont search for mark iii or mark 3, it just defaults to mark which brings up all sorts of random threads

The FAQS I and FAQS II are at the top of the list of the different threads. The search option can be a pain to use but it only searches for one word so try typing it markIII with no space. As for posting pics it easiest to load them to photobucket and then copy the image link and paste it into the box you type your messages in. Thats a nice truck wish i had leather seats also wish mine had the painted grille and headlight bezals. When I paint mine the whole truck will be painted body color.

Didnt even think of looking there for some reason, I must have been out of it lol, grill may be up for sale I was never a fan of painted grills on these trucks, or the bigger trucks like me Cummins, I would take chrome everytime if I had the chance and I probably will switch this one if your interested. I have a complete chrome front clip headlights and all in the shed from my last Dakota I parted out, if your interested shoot me a PM with your offer and a zip for shipping estimation

EDIT: Found it all thanks guys, but the info you guys seem to have found to this point is almost useless to say the least lol, I'll do some searching myself, is there any lead on what dealer(s) offered the package, I havent seem to have found that info yet but I'll keep looking

http://www.dodgedakotas.com/boards/v8/32-1.html

I was able to find this, appears Mark III industries went under in 01 but some parts are still available through another company, I am wondering if I could take the woodgrain pieces to a cabinet make or wood person and have them duplicated, I need a new dor panel fo rthe drivers as it is missing most of the wood and the rest just has that crappy film/fly chit on it from sitting

I found a facebook page with a phone number and location that seems to be the correct address based on what I have found thus far, I will maybe try giving it a call later this week after the holiday http://www.facebook.com/pages/Mark-I...419578?sk=info

If you decide to part it out let me know. Im in need of a straight tailgate without dents and no rust or atleast minimum surface rust.
