Exclamation Electrical issue...

So I was driving home from work today and in a period of about 3 minutes my gauge cluster had a mental breakdown.

-First I immediately saw my gas gauge kick up by almost a quarter. I initially ignored this since I hopefully assumed it had finally broken free from what was making it read weird.
-A minute or two later I noticed that my Battery gauge was reading low. My battery is relatively new (Bought and installed last summer) Its an AC Delco.
-I then saw my Oil pressure was maxed and thats when I started to panic. I hit my turn signal and got off the road. When I hit my turnsignal all my gauges started to flutter about. I'm used to my battery gauge doing this when I hit my turn signal but they ALL started having a seizure.
-When I pulled over I noticed my temp gauge was reading high to but nothing alarming. (It was at what it used to be when I had my 195 Tstat)

I'd like to point out that at no point during this incident did the truck perform odd. It drove like there was nothing wrong.

After I pulled over I started checking everything over and then proceeded to limp the truck home. I kept an eye on my Oil pressure gauge also and it never maxed out again but it was still reading high. The entire time all my gauges were reading higher then their norm. Once I got home I checked all my fuses (under the dash and under the hood). They were all good and since I don't have a proper voltmeter I pulled the battery and attached it to one of our chargers that has one built into it along with a capacity reader.

My capacity read as low but my Volts read as 14.8v which I believe is about 2v to high for a battery that is not under load/unplugged.

So I'm thinking either my Alternator or Voltage Regulator might be bad and causing an overcharge.

Anyone have any thoughts about this?

The pcm controls the voltage regulations so the alternator does not have one internally. In the morning I will check my repair manual and study the schematic for the charging system and see what I can come up with. It seems like there was another post about all the gauges acting stupid but I think it had to do with the lighting or something like that. You may want to remove the alternator and have it tested unless you feel comfortable driving it to have it checked. If you lived close by I would say swap your pcm out with the one I have for sale just to make sure that its not the pcm that went bad.

Bit of an update here.
My battery is now down to 13.6v thanks to the charger that my old man bought. This charger can renew batteries to a degree so it brought mine back to regular specs. Come morning I'll decide if I wanna risk putting it back together so I can get to work with the truck. Since I work at a dealership (Although they have a policy against helping their employees on spare time it seems) I should be able to quiz the techs for info on what might be wrong.
