If it is okay then your best bet is to do good maintenance on it. Also doing compression and leak down test on the motor.

Literally if it ain't broke, don't fix it. If you're paranoid or anything then start stockpiling the parts for the rebuild piece by piece/week by week assuming you'd want to do it yourself.

I bought two trucks that were being sold for parts and built one well I'm still building on it, anyways the motor I took from the running truck with 221000 miles ended up having lots of blow by. I disassembled it to find that six of the eight pistons had the compression ring gaps lined up. I went ahead and took the block, heads, and crank to a machine shop. The cylinders still had the original honing marks visible not like new of course but still visible. I had a valve job done, crank just needed polished, and a quick honing was done. Point is if this motor would have been built correctly from factory it would have been a engine capable of quite a few more miles so I wouldn't fret it.

yup I just changed the original from 1995 alternator on a Ram 1500 4WD with 291K a few weeks ago that has had 3 or 4 fuel pumps and as many sets of front axle U joints but motor trans and front/rear ends are original and untouched other than maintenance.
