4x4 steering gear adjustment
i'm going to read up on this from the fsm, but i was wondering for those who have done it already. how hard was it?
i've never had to adjust it and my steering wheel is about a quarter turn off.
and would this fix the swaying that my truck likes to do? i know the sway bar mounts and end links are still good as are the ball joints and everything else.

i was thinking about that but when the steering wheel is turned it gets almost a quarter turn at the box before anything else moves...being that i dont know how old the tie rod ends are i might as well just get new ones instead of playing around with rust old ones.
If there is that much play in the wheel then it is going to be bad tie rod ends pitman arm or idler arm ball joints too. It is best to change it all at once, but that is a lot of cash. See what has play and replace it. Don't forget to get an alignment to keep everything nice and straight.
