Default Crank sensor???

92 3.9 auto died going down the road.Splice is good and changed the asd relay.Ive been through this truck completely.Cap rotor plugs wires coil cam sensor idle air control and recently changed timing gears and chain.I can get it to run but misfires something fierce.I have even changed the distributor as the other was very loose.Only thing I havn't changed is the crank sensor.Would this sensor actually make it misfire like this? Had someone tell me it needs a valve job but have never had a car or truck just die out from bad valves. Not that sudden. Also are there other things I can check.I'm losing my mind trying to figure this out! Thank you all..

Yes the crank sensor can cause misses as well as no start.
