Fuel pump problems

Default Fuel pump problems

Put in a new fuel pump in my 93 Dakota works fine but gauge doesn't work there no indicators where I should have the pump turned to so nothing hits anybody have a problem like this?

Works when I move it out of the tank also forgot to mention that part

Sounds like the float is hitting inside. Try moving it around in the tank.

I've done not tried multiple spots was wondering if there is some kind of indicator that I'm missing

Im sure crazy4x4 will know. He should comment before long. Have you checked the FAQs section? Seems like there is a section in there that covers this. I haven't had the problem yet but ive read a couple posts on fuel gauges not working. You can also do a search for the same problem and see what everyone else done to fix it. Good luck and crazy will be by soon im sure.

There is a post in the FAQ in this section just a few posts above this one, which has pictures of where to place your sending unit.
