Default Tv cale

so talking to my dad the other day we got into a discussion about the truck and it not shifting right etc

he tells me the TV cable is attatched with a paper clip.. i didnt believe him.. i went out today and looked after i added oil and well heres what i saw..

now my question is how do i fix this?

my guess for fixing it would be to find the whole linkage out of another Dak. And yea i did get a kick outta that lol Thanks for sharing it!

any ideas on how to find one when there are no junked dakotas where im at...

You may have to pull one from a Ram same years. That is what I had to do. No new ones available.

ill have to see if i can find one then..

the paper clip fix works and all just not how it should.

i broke mine when cleaning the trottle body. When I took it in to the transmossion shop (the whole tranny had failed at this point) They bought a brand new tv cable from the dealer :huh:

yea and I'm pretty sure they added that cost of the stealership to your bill >.>

And I'm with crazy there. If you can find a Ram or Ramcharger, just something somewhat close to our truck of the same year you should be able to make it work with little if no modification.
