Check the FAQ2 thread it will tell you everything you will want to know and what you will need for the 5.9 swap. And I don't beleive it is posi, but limited slip, "Sure Grip" or "Trac Lock" if I remember right.

Not a bad lookin truck though, is there alot of rust underneath?

Here's my swap: https://dodgeforum.com/forum/1st-gen...-360-swap.html

A friend of mine wants to do the 5.0 swap in his Ranger. He's looking for an Explorer to buy for everything he needs.

The Dakota I bought never had the coolant changed, blew the radiator, kept driving it, blew a head gasket, and cracked a head. They let water sit in the cylinder and they got pitted. It gave me an excuse to upgrade to a 5.9.

For the 5.2 Magnum it was from 92-03? Rams, Dakotas, Ram Vans, Jeep GC.

As for a 5.9 swap it is easy they are externally the same as the 5.2's so it is a direct fit. You will need to get the engine complete from harmonic ballancer to the flexplate. You can use your intake and electronics. The 5.2 pcm will run the 5.9 but the 5.9 pcm will give you best power.

With the 5.2 pcm you running 5.2 perimeters until closed loop when the pcm will accept the O2 readings for adjustment for the larger size engine.
I meant to post in your post about you probably didn't give the 5.9 PCM its learning time of a week or so to get to its full potential.

Throttle body spacers don't do anything on our engines. Chips are all scams. The only option is the Mopar High Performance PCM.
