Default CAD Question

I have a '92 Dakota, 3.9L 4x4. There is a hose that is disconnected and plugged and I cannot find where it goes. I have attached a pic with the hose circled in red. Can anybody enlighten me? ( I borrowed the pic from 4x4troy...I hope he doesn't mind! )

By memory it will go to the switch on the transfercase then up to the intake manifold, you should have a vacuum diagram sticker under the hood.

Edit: It does looks like the breather hose.

Are you sure its not the breather tube for the axle? Mine has almost the same thing, it runs from the passenger side of the axle up to the frame and is held in place with a clip and has a small breather cap on it. The part to the right of it, that looks round, with 2 hoses coming out of it might be what runs to the transfer case.

I think you are correct! Any idea what the part number is on that breather cap? I looked at mine a little closer and it appears to be broken. I thought it was just a plug in the line at first.

Many thanks to all for the help!!

YAY!!!! Gold star for me!..lol.
If im looking at the FSM correctly, i believe the part number is J535 2955. I was unable to locate a price or if these are still available from the dealer.
