key problem

Default key problem

Just got a 88 and I can't get key out. Turns on just can't release. Indicator stays at 1 andshifter has barely any tension. Any ideas?

Sounds like you may have to remove all the panels to access the ignition switch and may need to replace the lock. Also a quick note most manual transmissions have a push button to release the key.

It has it buts it didn't work. Where can I find that piece? How hard is it to connect indicater to shift lever?

Well. Saw that cable to shifter snapped. Pulled down to get it to say park and still didn't release. $10 for new key thing plus shifter doesn't lock securely.

Got key out. Have to lift slightly on shifter. Any ideas where to get a bracket for shock absorber in back that attaches to frame? And right side drum back plate thing?
