want my track fixed

Default want my track fixed

I have a 92 Dakota 3.9 rear end. I need help in replacing pinion bearing,ect can't find any post about this part of repairing rear end please help

I will move this to the 1st generation Dakota sub-forum. In that section you will find the FAQ in the stickies which will be a few posts above this one in there. In the FAQ you will find the factory service manual free to download which will have a complete R&R on the axle along with specs and pictures.

where are you located? maybe a forum member not far away that could help..
I know where there's a 93 Dak being parted that has a 3.92 rear end in it that the guy was trying to sell. if youre close I could point you to him, would be easier and cheaper to swap them than to rebuild; rear end swap isnt hard at all; worse case you got your truck back on the road and you can rebuild the original rear and have it ready just in case.... or swap it back in and keep the used one as a spare
I can swap a rear in <2 hours...

I live in centrol Idaho, We bought a used 1 for junk yard was all rusted so when we replaced bearing they came out easy enough but think we may need to replace the pinion bearing. Thanks for the help
