Default Question about some gauges.

Among the long list of things I have to do with my 5.9 swap, I was thinking about getting a new set of gauges, or atleast some faceplates for them.

Found these listed in the faq2 section, and really curious as to how those would work and also how they would be lit seeing as they seem to have a plug going into them. Anyone know anything about these?

I'm not to sure the if there would be any extra wiring. Call or Email the company and ask that question.

visually those connectors don't look like they make sense. they look kind of like USB but thats definitely the Dakota set up. My issue is with the year range, 1988 - 1996.. I know from my struggles with the gauges that that will NOT work on an '88 and probably not anything before that. it should just hook in the same way as the original gauge does though. i think they might all use the six shooter looking cylinder connector.

It sounds like those wires go to a switch that comes with the kit. I'd say that the switch would splice power from the wire between the headlight/dimmer switch and the old gauge lights.
