By "not done" I mean if you have not had that gasket replaced ("done") I can almost guarantee it needs to be!
the Fel pro gasket set which includes the belly pan gasket both intake to head gaskets and both end seals is like $26 and can be done in an afternoon.
some may differ on this but I have NEVER EVER had luck or success substituting RTV in a tube for the end seals the only place I use RTV is in the corners where the intake to head gasket meets the end seal...
I just shake my head when i see that someone else says to throw away those end seals that come with an intake gasket set.

Hey guys. This was my dads truck hes not much of a mechanic person. I checked under the butterflies, there's no excess oil in there, yes there is some dark stuff, but its just extra burned fuel like normal. It could be the Intake gasket aka plenum gasket and not giving off the oil inside. So i will check it out aswell.
But as of right now. i dont think it is the gasket. It's failing on NOX, and HC on the etest. Usually the first thing you do is look for the emissions stuff on an engine etc, Cat, ERG,O2 Sensor etc. needless to say my dad didnt want the truck anymore so i bought it off him. Now the garage that he took it to said they changed the cat last year along with the o2 sensor. But i dont think they did, the cat is rotten right through, looks like it hasnt been changed in about 3-4 years same as the sensor. i have all the receipts and e-tests that its passed and failed. So i guess if i change the cat and o2 sensor. get a new tps, change the air filter, clean the egr solenoid. (cant really clean the ERG valave they stopped making erg valaves for this truck in 1996.) So what other opinions might you guys give if all fails now

Doing all that you propose to do in the post I quoted, will cost MORE than what it will cost to do the intake and plenum gaskets... You have said that you have done all this before and still failed after spending tons of money chasing the problem. Youve done all the rest now do as we are telling you and SOLVE your problem.
Now not knowing how many miles are on the truck since the last cap/rotor/wires/plugs or what grade/quality of parts were used, it may not hurt to do that stuff once again and if done yourself, and even if you buy the aluminum plate mentioned above. you will wind up with only spending $150... and an afternoon getting to know your truck so you can stop being the local shops' "meal ticket"...
based on where the injectors are on these angines nothing but AIR should go thru that part of the manifold so it should look pretty clean in there...
