Default transfer case removal

hey ya'll

i'm in the process of swapping out my bad transmission for a good one and ran into a problematic bolt.

is it possible to remove the transfer case with the front driveshaft still connect to it(but disconnected from the axle)?

thanks for any input. i'd rather do that then cut the little bolt off and have to mess around with drilling/tapping.

My guess is it is possible to remove the T/C with the D/S on, it might be a fight though.

I would suggest just to get a dremmel tool with a cut off wheel. Cut off the head of the bolt then pull the driveshaft out. The body of the bolt will be easy to remove with vice grips.

unfortunately i dont have a dremel....or friends who would help me with this. i'm starting to get fustrated because the bolts for the crossmember wont snap. they wont come off and they wont snap.

and as of right now, till my one useful friend gets off work(at midnight), my truck sits.

the sad part is i have to have it move-able by monday and i'm leaving for out my cabin in three lakes tomorrow at 8am.
