no overdrive in my Dakota

Any ideas as to why my Dakota will not go into overdrive?

What year is your truck? Engine? Ect.

It could be a bad speeed sensor to bad wiring and or connectors to a bad OD off switch to bad fuse to bad PCM.

Is the overdrive light on if it is disconnect it or replace it, this worked on mine.

my 92 had that issue it was a solenoid in the tranny, access thru pan.
