Are they the 15" or 16"? 15" ones have had clearance issues but there are fixes for that. 16" ones typically are fine.
Tire size depends on what you're looking for, cool street truck or off road tires.

Remember It's a truck
or do you just use it as a passenger car?
Check the door sticker for the OEM tire and see if you currently have that size/ rating
Then find out what the load capacity of the OEM or option OEM tire is
make sure the new tire has the equivalent load capacity as the stock tire
In several states "low rider" laws were past to inhibit tiny tires on slammed Caddys, Impalas etc
These laws require equivalent rated tires and rims
for good reason
finding a high capacity 13 inch tire that looks good is tough

I have a 73 wagon, CHP suspension and brakes, 440 with 67 915 closed chamber heads, Motor Home Valves, , TRW "6 pack" forged pistons (old school heavy) with a "D"Cup cut in them like a Chevy "Turbo" piston, .025 piston to head quench, hyd cam shorter seat duration than stock 204@.050 with 464 lift (.305 lobe), rear sway from a Cordoba, dual air with MaxiVan Condensor, Imperial radiator, 727 with lock up furnace braised fins and all bushings converter, handles, rides, and tows great although injection would be nice
I think you have the earlier suspension- much more limited on torsion bar and sway bar sizes

15" will require the the shaving down the brake line bolt a bit.
16" on 2wd rub control arms on full turn
17" (R/T Wheels) Will also rub the control arm.

Unless you got the starfish wheels which are 15x7. Those fit without problem I have been told but I can't attest to that.

What WRXCarl said. You have to have spacers or do serious modifications to have any of the 2nd gen wider wheels fit without issues. The narrower wheels might be easier. Post pics of the wheels and we can give you better answers. You can run 235/75R15's or 235/70R16's on a 2wd. The 4x4's of course can go bigger.

1/4", if you can find new studs that fit and are a little longer, it wouldn't be a bad idea.

Default rim/ tire size

sorry it took me so long to get back guys there 16 inch rims off a second gen dak i did a lot of searching on this issue and i come to find out that it all really depends on what you like more the 235/7016 or 235 60/16 my truck is lowered a bit and i talked to a few guys on other sites that for stock height the 235 70 16 tire looks better and for lowered daks the 235 60 16 looks better but they will both work just as fine. and as for how they fit they fit fine the onley thing is you cant run the center caps on the front wheels if your 2wd cause of the spindles stick out to far. cause of the grease cap sticks out as well but they still look good without them

I'm running 235/70R16's. You can also run 235/65R16's which are just a bit shorter than what I have.
