i swapped in a 90. are there switches in the interior door panel? if so just have to run a hot wire and ground to each door. if no switches then just install a couple in the cab, put mine on the front face of the center console.

I have seen writeups on this and it is pretty easy; i have also swapped between power and manual doors on other vehicles (NOT a Dakota) before but I cant see doing that on a Dakota being any different of a process... usually I have a power window vehicle and all I can find in the yards are manual doors so I gotta fish the wires thru and change the window regulators... just be sure that they UNHOOK the wiring from within the body rather than to cut it... if anything, cut on the truck side of the harness rather on the door side; if they cut your wires you may as well put your manual window stuff in those door shells

It can be done if you want, just wire up switches to a switched power source. However, the manual regulators will bolt right in place of the power ones in 10 minutes.

thanks guy's ...yes door's have switch's in them.. and i'm going to be the one removing them .. so hopefully i don't screw it up!! i would swap up my stuff from my door's but when i roll up the dr's side window it bind's. so that's the reason for the swap..not sure who the last guy was to post but you have the same truck as mine!! hope to put 33s on it soon

Yeah, there seem to be many std cab short bed black dakotas. How are you lifting your truck to fit 33's?
Also, check, I'd almost bet that the window is whats binding on the way up, not the regulator. Take it out an crank it around. If it moves free there's nothing wrong with it.

not sure on the lift .. that was going to be my next question..what would i need to get 33s under it?? don't mine doing some trimming.. it need's some body work anyway..as far as the window i think it has something to do with owner be for me welding the door latch in place..not sure why he did that?? but if you pull on the door handle as you roll up or down the window it seam's like it bind's less..don't know?? but i do like the thought of power window's.... hey has anyone mounted a winch on there dakota?? how you do it?? thanks

To fit 33's on a 4x4 is not hard a body lift with the torsion bars cranked or get lift keys and an Add A Leaf kit for the rear. Check the FAQ2 (just a few posts above this one) for tons more lifting ideas plus how to's on it all and where to buy the parts.

For winch yes a few people have, including myself. I built my own front hitch and just use a hitch winch setup so it is removeable to the rear if needed. Check the FAQ2 for my write up on it all.
