Default looking for some ideas...

So im gonna feel crazy for posting this, but im debating making a snorkle for my dakota... not so much for use, but for looks (i do want it sealed up of course so i am slightly more protected from water and such but dont intend on taking my dak through the river or anything crazy... the only thing stumping me is the hose that comes from the computer on the fender to the main intake hose... anyone have a few ideas for that? Isnt that a vent hose for the ecu or something? I havent thought much of a design yet, due to never figuring that out in my head yet...

Just looking for ideas guys

If your truck is stock looking, a snorkel will throw off the look since it will not be for function. I would suggest against it.

But if you really wanted it, go for it, post up pics.
The hose on the PCM has been thought to just be a cooling hose. To cool down the PCM. So you should be good without including it.

If your going to do it, buy an universal kit. Don't go cheep and do a home depot version.

well i wouldnt say my truck is stock looking with custom bumpers and hopefully soon starting the sas with 33's or 35's...

like i said i do want it "functional" but not for the extremes some people think you intend to do with a snorkel. So if it is a cooling hose on the computer how would i seal it up to prevent water from getting in then, if say i did end up in something that deep? i would think it'd allow the water in and ruin the ecu....

And yes if i do it im gonna do it right, initial plans are to make a sealed filter box that can be opened up for filter change as well, run it out the fender and up the pillar... also thinking of finding someone good with fiberglass to give it an "integrated built in" look on the exterior at the fender

like i said nothing is set in stone yet, nor can i afford to do atm, but it seems im always thinking of new things to do to my truck, and then add lots of planning and researching and then eventually building lol
