So I just bought a 92 Dodge Dakota w/ the 3.9l v6 4x4 and there are some issues with my instrument panel. Listed below:
1. Odometer and trip do not move.
2. Every once and awhile my oil pressure gauge will drop to none when I apply the brake and the truck reaches 0mph. When this happens the oil pressure can flickers. In conjunction with this sometimes the oil can for pressure will flicker even when the pressure gauge reads fine.
3. Gas guage is stuck on full.
I have done some googling and realize these could be a few different things.
The guy that sold me the truck said the instrument cluster is bad and it needs a new one. However I am not inclined to believe that is the only issue here. Any advice I could get would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

First thoughts right off the cuff;
1. Odometer and trip do not move.
Bad speedo cable
Bad gauge
Speedo drive gear misadjusted @ trans (assuming they can be adjusted like older 727 etc)
2. Every once and awhile my oil pressure gauge will drop to none when I apply the brake
Low on oil
Bad oil psi sender
Worn bearings in engine (oh, poo-poo)
3. Gas guage is stuck on full.
Wiring problem, checks grounds etc
Bad level sender
Bad gauge

Thanks. Got a new cluster on the way. Gonna give that a try first. If problems still persist I will work my way down the list. Doubt the bearings are worn though as the truck has 203,000 miles on it but the crate motor has about 500. First thing I did. Needed one when I bought it. Wife had a hissy fit but I love the older trucks.
