Default Frozen doors

What can you do to unstuck your doors and then to prevent them from freezing up,without breaking the plastic latch? Had them froze for the first time. Any little tricks? Thanks

I just usually grab it by the window frame at the top, and gently pull. As far as preventing it, well if you just washed the truck, give all the gaskets and door frame a quick wipe.

I've had some luck with swabbing the rubber with vegetable oil. Has to be reapplied regularly however.

Generally I just pull the handle a little bit and then grab the door at the top where it is pulling out a bit. Some guys I go wheeling with have a crowbar mounted on the outside of their truck to open their doors when they don't open, but that might be a bad idea unless the side of your truck just slid into a rock.
