long tube headers issue

Default long tube headers issue

hi guys well i found out today all of my motor parts came in so now i get to start buying the exhaust i need to run long tube headers either 1 5/8 or 1 3/4 pipe size but i cant seem to find any that specifically fit my 92 2wd dak with out clearance issues help would be great thanks.

Long tube headers are unneeded unless your making over 500HP. Shorty headers are more then enough for anything less then that. Especially on a stock to mildly stock motor.

lol im building a 12 sec truck for the track my motor will have 500 hp easy i got 11.1 compression forged everything aluminum heads bore .30 over the works i need them its not a want lol.

Then it will have to be custom built. www.summitracing.com sells universal build to fit kits.

i have heard but dont know if its true or not dont want to chance it but i heard that ram 1500 long tubes fit no prob but i have no info to back that up.

You are using a magnum block correct? If you were using a LA I know where to get long tubes for the Dakota.

hey the bolt pattern for the exhaust is the same on la to magnum where can i get some.

here They are expensive, but pretty much your only choice, and I could have sworn that the LA pattern was different than the magnum.

Actually they are a few bucks cheaper on summit, but now you have the part number and you can do the leg work lol

I did some reading and it looks like you are correct. That is good info to have.
