Truck bed removal and weight
A few questions. I have a 92 Dak 3.9 ext. cab.
1. How many bolts keep the truck bed on? Are they easy to get at?
2. How much you reckon the bed weighs? How many men would you need to get it off the frame?
3. My bed squeeks alot. How can I remedy this problem? lube? o-rings?

There are about 8 bolts or so on the bed, they are all underneath and easy to get to, you may need a some long extensions. If there is rust hit it with WD-40 to loosen them up. The bed weights (my guess) 300lbs 2 guys can lift it alone (I have) but the more the better. If it squeaks and your 100% positive it is the bed and not the suspension then maybe clean the areas of contact on the frame/bed and paint it. Grease will help but overtime it will collect dust and make it worse.
i've removed the bed of my truck by myself but i would highly not recommend it (bent the heck out of sides.) i've also heard of people removing the bed with an engine hoist. me, personally, i enlist my younger brothers to help me pick the bed up and move it.
