First post, buying a 94 on the cheap!
Hey guys, I'll be hanging around in here a lot from here on out I think.
I just found a 94, 3.9 liter, 2 wheel drive extended cab truck they guy said he would sell me for $200.
I've heard it run and it runs like a watch, but he says it has some transmission issues, slipping when it's cold or something. I'm not too sure but I'll troubleshoot that when I get it.
I took a good look at it, being a NY truck it obviously has some rust issues, but overall it isn't too terribly bad. Couple used fenders, some rocker panels, a used bed if I can find one, and a lot of time should make me a pretty decent truck! It only has a little over 100,000 miles even!
What I would like to know if anyone has the info readily available is the backspacing and offset of the factory wheels, any info about that would be awesome.
Thanks for reading!
I'm going to try to add a couple pictures here, if it doesn't work I'll add links in a reply comment.

Welcome, trans! Hey, you got a great truck! Just like mine, and I can tell you, this '93 3.9 V6 extended cab is my favorite vehicle of all time! And, for me, being a geezer, that's a heap of vehicles! It's just broken in good with that mileage. My odometer broke at 120K miles about 7 years ago, still as good as ever! I've only used full synthetic oil in mine since I got it at 43K miles, still doesn't use oil. If you know a good transmission shop, get it rebuilt, or maybe find a good junk yard trans. Fenders, etc., you'll be good to go!
Hey MacDak, thanks! I'm really looking forward to getting it home.
A few friends of mine have seen these in the scrap yards with decent body panels, and as far as the trans goes I think I can rebuild it myself. I'm a Wyotech grad and though I haven't been in a lot of automatics I do know how they work. Plus with this awesome forum and some of the stickies I was able to find a complete trans breakdown! That made me happy as a clam
