Default Which front end should I get

Hey all, I've got a stripped pinion gear in the front end of my 93 dakota 5.2
Wondering if anyone had some advice on what other vehicles in the mopar lineup had something that would "fit" (so to speak)
I just want to have some kinda selection at my disposal when I go to the junkyard and inevitably can't find a 1st gen dakota

If you go on rock auto and find the parts you want you can usually view by application and see what other vehicles they were used on.

You can also do this on moparpartz.com just find the part you want in the diagrams then do a search of that part number and it should list the different vehicles it's found in.

Cardone #22326 fits 94-96 Dakota RWD. Rockauto has them for about $100 plus $150 core & shipping. Use the discount code 1366002110441834 for 5% off.

Unless you are absolutely unable to afford, I think I'd go with the remanufactured one with a 3 year 36,000 warranty.

You may be able to find a comparable price locally at Autozone, O'Reilly's, or Advanced Auto.
