you just need 1/4 wheel spacers up front.

i know the brake line bolt catches on 4x4 models for the 15x8's, would the spacer be enough on a 2wd for the control arms and everything you think?

oh and i realy dont know if this is a dumb question or not but could i grind the tie rod ends down a tiny bit cause it cant take much grinding to resolve this.

^ Seconded and not so much a dumb question as trying to avoid wheel spacers, is there an easy way to do this so 2nd gen wheels work as factory on gen1 2wd?

I never put on 2nd generation rims on so I don't have much input. Maybe grinding the tie rod a bit might be okay but without seeing how much it needs or how much you grind off I don't know if it would be okay. Next option is just to restrict your turning limits.

ha! grinding down the parts that keep you in line going down the road.... good idea!!!!! i think i'd spend the money and get spacers. it's just a 1/4 inch. hurts nothing having a 1/4 inch spacer. i've got 2nd gen rims all the way around. truck regularly sees over 100mph when i get it out. no problems.
