1992 5.2 4x4 Motor Mount Swap
It's time to replace the motor mounts in my old Dakota. I know I'll have to drop the front axle which I've done before and was not difficult at all. The question I have is does anyone one have any tips or tricks on how to support the engine without a hoist?
I obviously don't want to damage the oil pan but was curious if anyone has done it without a hoist. I'm trying to avoid renting a hoist if I don't absolutely have too.
I also plan to do the tranny mount too (automatic), anyone have any other tips or tricks before I take on theese repairs?

do you have a garage where you can set up a pully in a beam?
I just cant imagine how to do with with out a engine hoist. I did mine and I need a car hoist and another jack under it. It was a 2 hour job with the proper tools.

This is what I used when doing clutches in FWD cars.
