Default Question on upgrading bulbs

I have been wanting to do a few exterior lighting upgrades for a while. So...

1.) I would like to get brighter bulbs for the brake lights so that they can be seen clearly and make the truck safer to drive. I believe I need 2057 bulbs for those and are the slyvania bulbs the best? (I don't want to have to run all of the relays, resistors, and such). Would I be able to do this without blowing a fuse or messing anything up? I found these on Amazon and was wondering if they will to the trick? (Note: my tail lights are NOT smoked or tinted, I just want them super bright).

2.) Also, while I am at it I thought why not upgrade the headlight bulbs if I can without trouble. In the research I did I found that the Sylvania SilverStar Ultra bulbs have great reviews and I was wondering if they would be compatable with our headlight setup? I found these at Oreilly. Would they work?

Hope all of this makes sence. I don't really have any experience with bulbs and electrical so I appreciate any comments or advice. Thank you!

I am currently using the bulbs you are considering in my truck. My tails are tinted and the st bulb is the brightest possible with having to order something online. My st ultra headlights are by far the best bulb available around town. Im going to upgrade the wiring with some relays to get the most voltage possible to the headlight bulbs. The st ultra bulbs give me 70-80% better visibility. Or the stock bulbs.

Thank you! That's great news. I think that is what I will do then. Where your headlight bulbs hard to change? It it a tight fit? Thanks for your input!
