This one is for, according to summit, the 2nd gen. Would it be able, perhaps with some modification, to use it on a first gen?

edit; maybe its the 3rd gen. but still, i need a way to lift up the front end of the truck.. Any links to something i can buy or any tips on making some solution from scratch would be very appreciated!

All I've done is just the torsion bars. I'm also looking for an alternate lift, I've considered other lifts from trucks but I don't have the knowledge on that to be able to know what to look for.

Can any one tell me if the front end components are the same between 1st and 2nd gen? Can the be interchanged? Maybe even 3rd gen?

http://www.totalperformanceonline.com/
has the parts for the front lift.
I don't know if the different years will interchange or not.
I ordered the set this website has. will try to post more info after I get them.

You can crank up the torsion bar keys for 1-2in. You can get indexed keys for 2-3in lift.

For a front and rear kit.

Check the FAQ2 in this section. Tons of lifting ideas including these and more!

I looked at the front/back but don't really care for the rear blocks. I went with the add-a-leaf from summit racing by tuff country for the 3in lift in the rear.

He said he did a axle over spring to axle under spring.. = 2wd (no torsion bars) or was that a shackle flip?

i noticed those torsion bar keys from Total Performance are from the 91-96 model years, but will they fit on the 19990 model?
