Drivers door nearly falls off when opening
Hello all! I just bought a 1994 Dakota v6 magnum from my wife's uncle for $250. It had been wrecked and had a little front end damage. Nothing too severe and he already had bought a new core support and two new fenders (they just need put on).
He had problems with it randomly shutting down. Before he parked it, he had already fixed the splice issue, replaced the fuel pump, EGR, coil pack, and a few other parts. I put a new crankshaft sensor in and it runs like a champ now.
I plan to put the new support and fenders on this weekend and will take some progress pics.
My current issue is the drivers door seems like it's about to fall of whenever I open it. It will open about a foot then pop and drop an inch or so. It still works but is really annoying and embarrassing. My father in law thinks that it just needs new pins/bushings. Is this a common issue with these?

i have a 2001 dak. the bushing on the top drivers side got loose. i went to the salvage yard got a good hinge for $25. took it to my mech cost $75 to get it put on. but i did hear that some daks have the bolts inside the dash, years unkonwn. but mine is not i think be sure to put anti-seize on the new pins. as allways finding the good mech is the hardest part.
