Default 10 sec 1st gen

Are there any legit 10 sec daily driver 1 st gen daks out there. I have an extended cab 94 Dakota sport 5.2 5 speed. Over 200k miles on it and its been sitting for about 3 years now. I am currently looking to do a complete frame off rebuild on it and redoing the interior to make it comfortable for a daily driver but I am not sure what motor/trans combo I am gonna go with. I was thinking about a 408 stroker w/ a tremec 6 speed or maybe even a 340 and 727 trans if I could find one. What do you think? Stroker, no2, turbo, blower, na............? Any thoughts and /or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys

Personally I'd go 408 and tremec. Going that route if you ever wanted to go back to stock or calm it down you could without much hassle or headache. Going carb'd and older style trans, you would hack away so much stock it would be a nightmare to revert.

How much power is that 408 stroker going to make? I think you'd have to squeeze quite a bit out of it to get your truck hitting the 1/4 in 10 seconds.

That 408 should be good for about 450 to the wheels then I plan on doing a big power adder. Probably gonna go with blower.

There's a nice looking 1st gen like 2 mins away from my house. It's no daily driver and I don't know the status of it cause it's been in one spot for about 8 months. Poor slicks going to have bald spots... no idea what is or was in it has a blower scoop and it's been caged through the cab to the bed with fiberglass windows. Have thought about asking the guy about it but it's a kind of run down house full of possible shot gun wielding rednecks lol. Figured if I walk up in the yard to go knock on the door I might get shot.

Fat lot I know about it but how's the big engine gonna affect the rest of the truck? You gonna need to beef up the suspension? Build custom 1350 drive-shafts? Are the diffs and transfer case (if applicable) ready for all this octane? What about brakes, this got the 11 inchers on it already? Steering?
Sounds like an interesting build.
