I have a 94 Dakota that has a wiring issue...
1. Radio does not work on factory radio but the clock works until the headlight switch is activated.
2. I have no dash lights at all.
3. Just installed a new battery so know that is not the issue.
4 Un-hooked radio to see if that was causing the short, didn't improve my situation.
5. How high is the probability that it is the light switch itself and how would that affect the clock on the radio?

 

Start easy and check all your fuses. No dice move to grounds and search wires of burns. Then to connections. It's a long process ahaha good luck let me know how it goes

Edit; I did also read once apon a time that because these radios are old they could just crap out.
