Default Trying to remove torsion bars

As the title says I'm trying to remove them and that cylinder looking nut is just spinning now. Any one ran into this and got em to come off? I've tried pipe wrenching is and it couldn't hold it. I've also sprayed them with oil. I can't get a grinder up there to actually cut the damn thing out and don't have access to a cutting torch. And ideas?

Sounds like it got cross threaded or at one point it was incorrectly installed. The bolts are not meant to pull down or up the torsion bars. A C-clamp is used for that purpose. You may have to try an impact wrench. Use a C-Camp or vice grips to hold down the round nut. The last resort you may have to cut it off and replace it. Use a C-clamp to remove the tension off of the nut and bolt setup.

I'm assuming you're talking about that stupid bracket kind of under the starter. Removing the starter might help. It is a PIA.

Ya removing the starter may help. Remove Remove the splash splash shield on the inner fender and go at it from the side. I just pulled pulled the engine on my parts truck and that's how I did it.
