Angry Locks for my fuel door?

Some little scumbag **** has been siphoning gas in the neighborhood. Had to wake up to my fuel door wide open and my gas cap hanging.

Not sure how to go about this. Do they sell doors or some sort of cap locking mechanism that can fit 1st generation Dodge Dakotas?

Try Autozone, O'reilly, or Advanced auto parts for a locking gas cap.

I bought a matching set of locking gas caps for my factory and reserve tank for my Dakota. I got them at O'Reilly's. If you have emissions in your area you might want to save the old one for emissions testing purposes. I had a gas cap pressure test failure but I think it was operator error, not the cap. The guys at the emission testing station aren't the brightest people on the planet.

But . . . but . . . but, they're "technicians!"

Haha, in California they make $60k/yr. But they still can't figure out where the OBD2 port is(n't) on my 1992 Audi. Or what the timing is supposed to be on my 1993 Range Rover.

Nowadays all you need to do is attend a technical school for a year or so, or some online classes and you can be any type of "technician" So many improperly trained technicians in all types of professions, medical, automotive, dental, veterinary!

In AZ the emission testing are run by the state. You could go from flipping burgers to testing vehicles for emissions. I believe in CA auto technicians/shops are certified to do emissions.
