Default The dreaded solder joint!!! Please send me a link

All,

Trying to help a follow Dakota owner out. Sounds like he has the dreaded solder joint issue. Can someone send me the link on how to fix this? I thought it was under FAQ, but I couldn't find it. Please advise and thank you.

dang i thought i had a pic for this.

if you remove the tape right at the relay box you should be able to find it. i fixed mine with a wire cap and some tape and its been fine ever since.

it does help to unbolt the relay box, flip it over, and remove the bottom piece exposing thewires

if the a solder joint is on steel, reg solder will NOT hold. you need silver solder. a good weld supplier should have it.

The "Splice" is three red/white wires to one red/white wire. There's no need for silver solder.
