Describing tranny gas pedal response issue
94 dakota auto 3.9L reg cab.
OK The truck seems to like the cold (<40) better than the warm. When it starts up and I drive off the gas pedal to power at the wheel is as it should be, an instant response no hesitation. This could be the PCM has learned how to use the new EGR and other new parts incl battery. As it warms up that goes away and I'm back to 1-5 second delays in response to my pushing the gas.
The Auto tranny issues.
1. Now that it takes off properly when cold it is shifting into second then popping out and back in right around 15-20mph. It feels like I pushed the clutch pedal after shifting into 2nd and letting it out in a manual while trying to accelerate.
2.The other issue is that it either down shifts or won't up shift at 25-35mph. If I try to stay at one speed it will shift or act as if the clutch is engaging and disengaging, at random points on the flat for no apparent reason. If it were manual I would have already been up shifted at these times.
